About
Mission Statement
Newman Centers are residence and Catholic ministry centers at non-Catholic universities throughout the world. These centers provide pastoral services and ministries to their Catholic communities, in particular to the Roman Catholic student population within universities throughout the world.
Newman Centers were named in honor of Blessed Cardinal John Henry Newman and were inspired by Newman's writings. The first Newman Center was established in 1893 at the University of Pennsylvania.
We established the Newman Club with the support of Sacred Heart Church to meet the Sacramental needs of students. There is a great need for continuing formation of students and spiritual strengthening needed to combat the spiritual dryness many students experience surrounded by secular culture.
